Youth in Asia and the Pacific are speaking up for the millions of unregistered young people in the region who are denied a legal identity. Moderated by the UN Secretary General's Envoy on Youth, Mr. Ahmad Alhendawi, this special session will provide youth representatives from the region an opportunity to share their experiences related to civil registration and to engage and influence delegates. The youth will also present their own Youth Declaration to compliment the proposed Ministerial Declaration to ‘Get every one in the picture’ in Asia and the Pacific’ and the Regional Action Framework. The Youth Declaration will serve as a call to action for youth and governments across the region. Two German youth advocates will be on-hand to share their experience from a successful campaign to support Plan International’s ‘Count Every Child’ initiative in Germany.
